Day 3 & for of Insanity

On Friday morning I did the 'Cardio Power & Resistance' workout (lasts 39min 15 secs). My body has felt sore but good, I feel like a thin muscular person under a layer of fat and I can feel abs that I didnt know that I have. On the other hand I can barely move, three minutes into the warm up portion of the exercise my calfs were seizing and I was out of breath. I decided that if I'm going to be able to complete the rest of the workout I needed something beside motrin, advil, voltarin and ice. I went to gnc and was referred by a couple of guys who looked like they knew what they were talking about to 'Rivalus Post-rx'. The only flavor available was lime and I like the fact that you only take a small amount,1-2 small scoops with 4oz of water right after the workout and on non training days 1 scoop in the morning and at bed. I took 2 scoops post workout yesterday and I haven't felt any less sore but I'm sure it has to build up in your system. So I will post on the results incase anyones interested in the product.
Onto the workouts, the thing I really like about Insanity is that it consists of 3 or 4 minutes of the same workouts (each day of workouts is different) and then there is a break and a couple of stretch's and cool downs inbetween. So everytime I feel like quiting(which is alot!!) theres an exercise or stretch that I can muddle through. The parts of the workout that I cannot complete properly I make sure that im doing the exercise correctly and slow, or move as much as possible. I'll make sure to announce when i can complete one of the workouts in totallity.
So far I feel proud of myself (yes i know its day four) but I really do feel like it is a total workout.
If anyone else is taking or has taken the 'Insanity' challenge, let me know. Id like to see some real results.
Ps even though i feel strong I havent lost any weight

Day of Insanity 1 July 25, 2012

Took the fit test Wednesday morning and barely made it through. The object is to do as many as you can in a minute. My remarks that I scribbled while entering my results consisted of almost puked on the power jumps#4 and almost dying on Suicide Jacks exercise #6 and #7 my personal favorite-died on the floor. lol

Heres the results
1.)Switch kick- i counte the time i was able to do it and not the exercies so I was able to do it for 23 seconds. I'll correct it next test.
2.)Jumping Jack Squat- 25
3.)Power Knee's- 37
4.)Power Jumps- 16, Almost threw up
5.)Globe Jumps- 4
6.)Suicide Jumps- 7, Dying
7.)Push up Jacks- 8, dead on the floor
8.)Lower plank oblique-18, drench in sweat.

Obviously weight loss and inch's are better to look at then my results but thats what i have for now.
I do want to mention that later on in the day I did feel my lower abs right into the next workout as well as the rest of my body.

Workout 1 Plyometric Cardio Circut 42 minutes
I finally stopped with 13 minutes left in the workout, i plan on trying to finish it today although i know that its not as good for me but neither is watching the rest sprawled across the floor while my daughter was climbing mount mommy, i swear children can smell weakness...lol
Anywho i feel good throughout the day but make no mistake everything hurts, which is hopefully a good thing.

My Adventure in to 'Insanity' by Shaun T

If you haven't seen the infomercial of the 60 day total body reconditioning program called Insanity, here's the breakdown. (If you know what it is skip this portion!)

Insanity Includes:
-10 discs which requires you to complete six work outs a week including a fitness test you take every two weeks the first months workouts are 30-40 minutes month two is 45 minutes
-A diet plan
-The statement "Check with your physician before you start. That's not a disclaimer. We REALLY mean it.
-The promise of 'Insane Results' after two months or 44 workouts and 4 fit tests
-Access to teambeachbody.com, which is actually free anyways but you can submit your before and after photos to receive a t-shirt and other goodies
-A price tag of $144.80+ tax if ordering from beachbody.com

So this is how the review is going to go. I started my journey into 'Insanity' (sorry I couldn't help myself!) on July 25,2012 and will be finished September 19, 2012. As of now I will be posting when I complete my fitness tests every two weeks and in between if it tickles my fancy. I am not brave enough to disclose my weight or measurements but I will post inches lost and where I lost them as well as weight lost. On that note if your trying to compare my journey with yourself I will tell you that my BMI considers me overweight and close to obese and I am an hourglass shape so my inches lost (fingers crossed) will most likely differ from someone with a different body frame. I also have little to no specific 'me time' exercise so I am definitely a beginner. I do lots of work but lets not pretend that I'm shedding the pounds over it.

I also want to mention that I was given a used copy from a friend of this and I did not purchase, Unfortunately I wouldn't the price tag is a bit steep for my liking.

How I'm going to review
-I will not be closely following the diet plan, I will have cheat days on Fridays or at least one day of my choosing. (I also am using PGX Daily which is an upcoming review (its worth the money if you can't wait) I will not sabotage myself or the results with a horrible diet.
-I will do the work out the days that I'm supposed to. If I cannot do it properly I will try and do what I can to the best of my ability.
-I will post my results every 2 weeks with the fit test and probably blog about it inbetween if i can lift my fingers

-If parts of my reviews are too wordy I try and summarise my points so look for bullets or dashes & if anyones reading this besides myself let me know if I'm missing something that you'd like to know. Personally everytime i look for a review its either a pretend one or its missing things that I would have liked to know so I would appreciate the help.

Onto the pain
